Thursday, May 22nd: 4 miles running (10:42 pace)
Friday, May 23rd: Rest day
Saturday, May 24th: 8 miles running (10:38 pace)
Sunday, May 25th: Rest day
Another week closer to my next half marathon! It’s usually around this time that I start to get a little bored with my training and it’s no exception this time 😦 With my job, sometimes I feel like all I do is work and run and occasionally get to see my dog—I really enjoy running and my races, but getting home at 1 am on Saturday morning because you were working, getting up by 8 am to get in a long run (if it was hotter at that time, it would have to be earlier), taking a shower and then getting to work by 3 pm and working till 1 am again–it is physically exhausting. That’s really why I don’t think the Dopey Challenge will kill me… I feel like I do a Dopey Challenge every weekend with my crazy hectic schedule. Ok, that’s enough complaining for one post 🙂
This week is going to be another busy one as well. Unfortunately, yoga was cancelled on Monday due to Memorial Day and I have an old coworker’s going away party to attend most of the day on Tuesday. Work will be hectic Wednesday and Saturday, but Thursday and Sunday should be fairly easy days for me.
Trying to firm up plans for my half marathon in Milwaukee in 17 days 🙂 While in Wisconsin yesterday at the outlet mall, I remembered that there is a casino in Milwaukee that I’ve always wanted to go to… so what a better time than pre-race to hit it up!
Needless to say, if I can get thru these next two weeks, then it will be smooth sailing going into the half marathon!
